Library Program

Green Perspective Foundation conducted a library program designed to support municipal libraries in mountainous regions. We donated environmentally focused publications with an emphasis on the issue of forests and philosophy of deep ecology to these libraries. Our attention was focused mainly on the districts of Prešov, Žilina and Trenčín, ie regions still with existing natural forests, which deserve to be protected. We have more than 950 village and city libraries in our database, which were contacted about a book donation. Based on their orders, we made 425 library donations and the value of donations reached the sum of more than € 11,000. We hope that readers find their way to these publications, which can be not only a good source of information for them, but also can inspire them to take direct action in favor of the forest.
